This product fits very generously, we recommend sizing down

Our ladies kilim shoes are handmade from antique kilim rugs, each pair is one of a kind and as unique as their owner! Handmade with a leather sole, they are perfect for every occasion. These shoes combine classic and quirky but most importantly, they are so comfortable!

Our ladies kilim shoes do come up quite generously in size. If you have a standard width foot or narrow shaped foot we would recommend going down a size to that of your usual size. If you have a wider fitting foot, you will probably be ok in your normal size.

Our kilim shoes might feel snug and stiff to begin with but don’t panic! After a few hours of wear, the kilim will begin to mould around your feet comfortably and the shoes will give as much as they need too.

If your shoes feel a little big, but you don’t want to go down a size for length, we recommend a double cushioned inner sole!
Our kilim shoes are very hard wearing and don’t need a lot of looking after, just like a kilim rug! Try to avoid wearing them in the rain, but if you do get your shoes wet, allow them to dry naturally and stuff with newspaper to keep their shape. If you get your kilim shoes muddy, wait for the mud to dry and brush it off. Our shoes are leather soled; if you would like to prolong their life you could ask your local cobbler to attach a rubber sole to the leather. We would definitely recommend this if you want to wear them aprés ski as it stops you slipping on snow!

All of our parcels are sent via Royal Mail, first class signed for. We aim to send out your order the same day we receive it (orders placed before 12pm) or at least within 2-3 working days. However this isn’t always possible, especially if we are away at an event with all of the stock with us! If you need your parcel urgently please send us an email and we will do our very best to help!

You can return all unworn purchases up to 14 days after they have been delivered. If it is a gift that needs to be exchanged for a different size, please contact us and we may be able to extend the exchange period, especially for items bought in advance over Christmas. Please ensure the item is in a perfect, resalable condition and it is returned in its original packaging.

All of our kilim shoes and accessories are handmade from repurposed antique kilim rugs. We work alongside our crafts team in Turkey to source hand weaved kilim rugs that have become unsuitable for normal use, that have imperfections or are worn out in places!

All of these rugs are then cleaned and mended where possible. We cut around the unsalvageable pieces, take the beautiful sections of the rug and give them a new lease of life.

These rugs are so special, have great tales behind them and often take months to weave. You will notice on many of the bags, the different patterns and symbols, they all tell a story and we think it would be criminal to throw them away. So by making shoes and bags from them, we are preserving them for even longer!

All of the Ikat we use is also hand weaved and is made in small batches, making all of our Ikat pieces limited editions. We don’t believe in making hundreds of one thing, to maybe over produce, it's not sustainable for the environment or for us as a brand. So we produce small runs of seasonal colours and styles, that will never go into a sale (unless it’s a sample sale!).

Too Big

If your feet are slopping out of them and you can fit a finger behind your foot, then you should exchange them for a smaller size. However, if your heel slips out occasionally and they feel comfortable everywhere else, an innersole usually solves it!

Too Small

If your toes are scrunched up and they feel much too short on the length. However, if your toes are flat, and they are just tight on the width, don't worry, they will give in a few days. They will even give a little bit lengthways too if you need them to.

The Perfect Fit

If you can get them on quite easily, but they feel snug (even if a little uncomfortable to begin with). They will mould to your feet with a few days wear. If you are still having problems with them, try wearing them with wet socks around the house (sounds crazy, I know... but it works!)
